Scott and Michelle Rabon had a dream. They already had a glass
business and were very busy with that, but their community
didn't have activities available for the kids in the area. They
decided that the opportunity was there and the FEC business
was fun. The couple, being shrewd businesspeople, acquired a
favorably-priced piece of land next to their current business
and located on a main thoroughfare in Beaufort.
However, long before the park was under construction, Michelle,
Scott, and Leo Devlin, Michelle's Dad, researched every facet
of the business by attending nearly every training seminar that
they could find. Fun Expo, IAAPA, Birthday University, and Amusement
Products' Annual VIP Show and Seminar, were all part of their
preparation. This research gave them a clear vision of what
their park needed to be, and how to go about getting it. With
three young children of their own, Travis, Jaimie, and Taylor,
The Rabons knew the value of good, clean fun available for the
whole family, and that is just what they have provided for their
community.

Working with Amusement Products, Scott and Michelle settled
on a park design that they liked. Looking towards the future,
the Rabons purchased enough land to add to the park as the business
grows. The final park reflects their forethought.
The result is an outstanding park that includes party rooms,
miniature golf, go-karts, batting cages, a jump castle, an air
jumper, a climbing wall, water wars and a gameroom. Having started
the construction in September 2002, Amusement Construction had
the feature attractions ready to go by the middle of January
2003. Opening early in the season allowed the staff to become
well acqainted with the operating procedures before the main
rush began. Scott and Michelle enjoyed a successful first season
last year and are well into their second.
There are continuing plans to add more attractions, with paintball
and a superslide coming next. Michelle and Scott invite you
to bring your entire family out and enjoy what Beaufort Fun
Park has to offer!
